Tajik Ambassador hosts National Unity Day celebration at his residence

The Tajik Ambassador to Kuwait, H.E Zubaydullo Zubaydov, hosted a special gathering at his residence to celebrate Tajikistan’s National Unity Day, which is commemorated annually on June 27.
In his remarks, the Tajik envoy said, “This historic achievement would not have been possible without President Rahmon’s decisive leadership.”
Tajik expatriates in Kuwait also shared heartfelt reflections on the significance of this day, who expressed deep pride in their homeland’s progress and reaffirmed their commitment to the values of unity, peace, and national identity.
Dr. Dilorom Mukhamadovna Akhmedova, a Tajik dentist residing in Kuwait, said, “As a Tajik living far from home, this day fills my heart with deep emotions.”

She added, “Unity Day reminds me of who I am and where I come from. No matter where I am, I feel connected to the great Tajik nation.” She expressed a longing for her homeland, saying, “On this day, I want to be closer to my family, hear Tajik songs, and feel the warmth of my culture.”
Abdulali Wahobov, a Tajik citizen working as a translator at the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Kuwait, added, the Unity Day holds a special meaning, especially for those living abroad. “This day symbolizes a cherished national memory and recalls a critical chapter in our history,” he said.

He thanked Kuwait, describing it as a “hospitable country,” and praising the strong bonds between the Kuwaiti and Tajik peoples, expressing hope for continued peace and prosperity in both nations.
Tajik student Nurullo Murad, who has been studying Arabic in Kuwait for about seven years, expressed his pride in National Unity Day, describing it as “a turning point in the nation’s history — calling it a day of reconciliation and togetherness after years of division.”

“For me,” he said, “Unity Day is a celebration of coming together after separation, of peace after conflict. Tajikistan went through very hard times after independence, with a fragmented society, but we regained our unity thanks to the wise leadership of President Emomali Rahmon, who brought our people back under one flag.”
