Swiss Foreign Minister to visit Kuwait to inaugurate new embassy premises
Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis, accompanied by a high-level delegation, will visit Kuwait at the end of this week to enhance bilateral cooperation.
On October 24, he will meet with Foreign Minister Abdullah Al-Yahya to discuss regional developments and collaboration within the Global Coalition for Missing Persons, reports Al-Jarida daily.
The visit will also include the official opening of the new Swiss embassy in the Qadisiyah district, with the participation of His Highness Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad, marking a relocation from the Qortuba district after over 25 years.
Cassis’ regional tour will also take him to Amman and Baghdad, where he will inaugurate the Swiss embassy after its 33-year closure.
