Suspect caught with drugs, firearms, ammunition
The Ministry of the Interior has reported that the Criminal Security Sector, through the General Department of Narcotics Control has arrested an unidentified person and seized from him a significant quantity of illicit substances.
The seized items include 96 kilograms of hashish, 2 kilograms of a chemical substance, 15 kilograms of Captagon powder, 20 grams of Shabu, over a million Captagon tablets, along with equipment for pressing and manufacturing Captagon tablets, and three firearms with ammunition, reports Al-Qabas daily.
Upon interrogation, the suspect admitted to owning the confiscated contraband, acknowledging their intended use for trafficking and abuse.
Consequently, both the suspect and the seized contraband have been referred to the appropriate authorities for further legal action.
The General Department of Security Relations and Media affirmed the ongoing efforts of the Criminal Security personnel and other ministry sectors in combating drug trafficking and its facilitators.
The Ministry urges the public to collaborate with law enforcement officers by reporting any suspicious activities through emergency hotline 112 or the General Administration for Drug Control hotline at 1884141.
