Supreme Committee for Search and Rescue discusses enhancing air emergency readiness

The Supreme Committee for Search and Rescue held a meeting on Tuesday to discuss strengthening coordination among relevant authorities and enhancing national preparedness for air emergencies.
The meeting was chaired by the President of the Public Authority General of Civil Aviation (PACA), Sheikh Hamoud Al-Mubarak Al-Hamoud Al-Sabah.
Sheikh Hamoud told the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the primary goal of the meeting was to further develop Kuwait’s search and rescue system.
He emphasized the importance of close cooperation among all concerned entities to ensure rapid response and effective performance in emergency situations.
During the meeting, participants reviewed plans to organize a training simulation designed to test and improve field readiness. The exercise aims to ensure continuous training and enhance the operational efficiency of response teams while strengthening coordination among the various agencies involved.
Sheikh Hamoud highlighted that conducting such regular training simulations reflects Kuwait’s commitment to adhering to the highest international safety and emergency management standards.
He noted that these efforts play a vital role in boosting the capabilities of national response teams and ensuring they are fully equipped to handle different types of air emergencies.
The committee, chaired by Sheikh Hamoud Al-Mubarak, includes representatives from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, the Ministries of Defense and Interior, the National Guard, the General Fire Force, the Ministry of Health, Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, and Kuwait Airways.
The meeting reaffirmed Kuwait’s continued dedication to enhancing its air safety infrastructure and fostering inter-agency collaboration to protect lives and property in the event of aviation-related emergencies.
