Supreme Committee for Citizenship Investigation reviews withdrawal cases

The Supreme Committee for Citizenship Investigation convened on Thursday under the chairmanship of First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef.

In a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), the Ministry of Interior announced that the committee reviewed several cases involving the withdrawal of Kuwaiti citizenship which will be submitted to the Council of Ministers.

The statement clarified that the cases included instances of lost citizenship due to dual nationality, withdrawal based on fraud and false declarations — including forgery — and cases withdrawn in accordance with the country’s supreme national interest.

The Ministry emphasized that these actions align with legal frameworks and reflect the state’s commitment to preserving the integrity of Kuwaiti citizenship.
