In an interview with Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on Thursday, marking Kuwait Youth Day on March 13, Al-Mutairi praised the country’s leadership for its unwavering commitment to nurturing young citizens across various fields, fostering their growth and active participation in Kuwait’s progress.

He highlighted the General Authority for Youth’s year-round programs and activities, organized under the National Youth Policy at youth centers across the six governorates. These initiatives, guided by a structured action plan, aim to develop young talents and enhance their capabilities in various fields.

Significant progress of youth across key fields

He explained that these programs stand out for their diversity and inclusiveness, catering to the aspirations of young men and women by helping them hone and develop their skills. He acknowledged the role of these entities in ensuring the success of such initiatives, which align with the authority’s strategy to advance youth development in the country.

Minister Al-Mutairi praised Kuwaiti youth for their exemplary service to their country, particularly through their volunteer efforts in organizing major sporting and youth events, such as the 26th Arabian Gulf Cup and the Veterans’ Tournament, which Kuwait recently hosted. Their dedication in all organizational aspects contributed significantly to the success of both tournaments.

He further pointed out that the Public Authority for Sports continues to fulfill its role in nurturing young athletes by providing top-tier facilities and support to help them excel in competitions.
