Supporting people with Autism, national and humanitarian duty says Minister Al-Huwailah

On World Autism Awareness Day, Dr. Amthal Al-Huwaila emphasized Kuwait's dedication in supporting individuals with autism, focusing on integration, tailored programs, and strong support for their families.

The Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood Affairs, Dr. Amthal Al-Huwaila, today, Wednesday, reaffirmed Kuwait’s strong commitment to supporting individuals with autism.

Regarding Kuwait’s humanitarian values, Al-Huwaila emphasized the nation’s ongoing efforts to integrate individuals with autism into society, protect their rights, enhance their abilities, and provide unwavering support to their families.

In a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on the occasion of “World Autism Awareness Day” observed on April 2nd each year, Dr. Amthal Al-Huwaila highlighted Kuwait’s ongoing efforts to improve services for individuals with autism.

Al-Huwaila emphasized the focus on developing training and rehabilitation programs tailored to their abilities and needs, aimed at enhancing their capabilities in a safe and supportive environment.

Furthermore, Al-Huwaila explained that the “World Autism Awareness Day” serves as an opportunity to express gratitude and extend full support for the families who dedicate tremendous efforts to care for their children with autism.

Al-Huwaila stressed her unwavering support for these families and praised the role of the Public Authority for the Affairs of Persons with Disabilities, as well as the employees and specialists who work tirelessly to provide essential psychological and social support.
