Strong winds to stir dust in Kuwait until Wednesday

Wind speeds across the country will raise dust, reducing horizontal visibility in some areas, particularly open regions, and may at times cause high sea waves.

Dharar Al-Ali, the Director of the Meteorology Department, announced that Kuwait will experience active winds starting Monday and continuing through Wednesday, Al Rai newspaper reported.

He explained that weather maps and numerical models show the impact of a high-pressure system extending from the northwest, bringing moderate to strong northwesterly winds, with speeds expected to exceed 55 kilometers per hour.

He explained that wind speeds will stir up dust, reducing horizontal visibility in some areas, particularly open regions, and may at times cause high sea waves. He noted that the dust will gradually subside in the evening, with weather conditions expected to improve and stabilize by Wednesday evening.

He added that maximum temperatures during this period are expected to range between 39 and 42 degrees Celsius, while minimum temperatures will range between 26 and 29 degrees Celsius.
