Strong security campaigns reduce crime rates across Kuwait

Brigadier General Mohammed Rajab, Director General of Ahmadi Security Directorate, reported that security campaigns in Al-Ahmadi Governorate included 271,000 activities, such as checkpoints, criminal seizures, and detaining violators.

The Ministry of Interiors intensified security campaigns aim to uphold the law, maintain order, and have significantly reduced the crime rate by strategically positioning security points in high-violation areas,” said Brigadier General Mohammed Rajab.

Brigadier General Mohammed Rajab, Director General of Ahmadi Security Directorate, confirmed that the recent security campaigns across all regions have played a significant role in reducing the country’s crime rate, according to Al Rai newspaper.

Brigadier Rajab stated during a meeting with the official news channel that, Under the instructions and directives of Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, the First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Minister of Interior, as well as Lieutenant General Sheikh Salem Al-Nawaf, Undersecretary of the Ministry, and Major General Hamad Al-Munafi, Undersecretary of the Public Security Sector, security campaigns were conducted in Al-AhmadiGovernorate. These efforts included 271,000 activities, such as checkpoints, criminal seizures, apprehending residence law violators, detaining wanted individuals, addressing traffic violations, and recovering required vehicles.”

He added that “the campaigns carried out by the Ministry of Interior across its various sectors aim to uphold the law and maintain order in the country. The continuation and intensification of these security campaigns have contributed to a decrease in the crime rate, especially following the development of a strategy for positioning these security points and selecting areas with a high number of violations. This success is largely due to the cooperation among the ministry’s sectors.

He pointed out that “some sudden security campaigns in certain areas are prompted by the high volume of security reports. For instance, we have a neighborhood where many expatriates reside, some of whom violate the residence law or are wanted, while others engage in unregulated markets. However, we are monitoring the situation closely. The Abundance area has received reports of recklessness and carelessness, as well as illegal labor and bulk labor practices. Our campaigns are always comprehensive, focusing on negative phenomena in any region within the Al-Ahmadi Governorate.”
