Colonel Fahd Al-Issa, Director of the Traffic Awareness Department at the Ministry of Interior, commended the public’s cooperation in ensuring that the national celebrations were conducted in a civilized and orderly manner. He noted, “We received only 30 reports of water spraying, marking a 98 percent decrease compared to previous years.”

In a statement to Al Rai newspaper, he said, “We witnessed full compliance from citizens and residents with the Ministry of Interior’s instructions and guidelines on celebrating the national occasion in a respectful manner, free from traffic violations and negative incidents seen in previous years.”

Al-Issa explained that “based on the pre-planned strategy set two weeks ago, and following the directives of First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, field leaders were deployed at key gathering and celebration sites frequented by citizens and residents. Security coverage extended across the southern and northern regions of the country, including Abdali and Wafra farms, chalets, Kabd, Jaber Bridge, Subiya, as well as celebrations at Martyr’s Park and Arabian Gulf Street. All field agencies worked together, with female officers from the Police Institute joining to support security personnel in handling reports.”

He continued, “A total of 194 female students from the Women’s Police Institute, along with officer trainees, were stationed in the field, and their performance was commendable. Coordination was also established with the Environment Authority to address specific reports, resulting in an organized and dignified celebration.”

He added, “On Tuesday, we received approximately 30 reports of water spraying, all of which were referred to the relevant authorities for legal action. Additionally, there were two reports of run-over incidents, though no injuries were recorded. Only four minor accidents were reported, a stark contrast to previous years, with an overall 98 percent decrease in complaints. This success is attributed to the strict enforcement of the law, which also led to the issuance of 4,000 various traffic violations.”
