Stay alert for unofficial links impersonating ‘Sahel’ App

The official spokesman for the unified government application for electronic services, “Sahel”, Yousef Kazim, called on citizens and residents today, Monday, to be careful of unofficial links that claim to represent the government application, stressing that these links aim to phish and perpetrate electronic fraud.

In a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Kazim explained that citizens and residents of the country are required not to interact with suspicious links and websites that impersonate the name of the government application ‘Sahel’ noting that these links are spread on some websites and social media platforms, which requires verification from official sources.

Expressing caution, Kazim pointed out that “Sahel application is only available through digital stores for smartphones and not through any other links or websites”.

To conclude, Kazim stressed the need to communicate with the ‘Sahel” app only through the officially approved channels, which will ensure information security and safer use.
