Speeding up workers’ cities key to reviving Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh
During a tour with Farwaniya Governor Sheikh Athbi Al-Nasser, Minister Abdullatif Al-Mishari stressed the need to resolve the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh situation.

• Farwaniya Governor Sheikh Athbi Al-Nasser called Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh a ‘depressing’ area that should be removed, not repaired, due to its negative impact on Kuwait’s image and its location near key landmarks.
Abdullatif Al-Mishari, the Minister of State for Municipal and Housing Affairs, emphasized that resolving the situation in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh hinges on expediting the development of workers’ cities, according to Arabic daily Al Anba.
This came during minister Al-Mishari’s tour, which was attended by Farwaniya Governor Sheikh Athbi Al-Nasser, Deputy Chairman of the Municipal Council Khaled Al-Mutairi, Chairwoman of the Municipal Council’s Environmental Affairs Committee Eng. Alia Al-Farsi, and Acting Director General of the Kuwait Municipality Eng. Manal Al-Asfour.
For his part, Farwaniya Governor Sheikh Athbi Al-Nasser described the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area as “depressing and unlike any other in Kuwait.” He added that it should be removed, not repaired, as it harms the image of Kuwait—especially given its proximity to the international airport, Jaber Al-Ahmad Stadium, and Kuwait University.
