‘Spears of Victory 2026’ kicks off in Saudi Arabia with participation from 15 countries

The exercise highlights Riyadh’s Role in regional military cooperation; underscores Saudi Arabia’s commitment to enhancing the preparedness of its armed forces, developing joint military operations, and reinforcing its vital role in supporting regional and international security and stability.

The “Spears of Victory 2026” joint military exercise kicked off at the Air Warfare Center in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Sector, with the participation of branches of the Saudi Armed Forces and military units from 15 countries, making it one of the largest air exercises in the region.

The exercise involves the Saudi Land Forces, Royal Saudi Air Force, Royal Saudi Naval Forces, Air Defense Forces, the Ministry of the National Guard, the Presidency of State Security, and the Unified Military Command of the Gulf Cooperation Council, alongside allied forces from across the region and beyond, reports

“Spears of Victory 2026” is part of the Kingdom’s ongoing efforts to strengthen international military partnerships, exchange operational expertise, enhance combat readiness, and achieve a high level of operational integration among participating forces. The exercise also aims to reinforce regional and international security and stability.

According to organizers, the exercise focuses on exchanging expertise in planning and executing tactical operations, unifying concepts of joint military action, and implementing and evaluating tactics to counter current and emerging threats. It also seeks to assess the level of readiness for joint operations at the tactical level.

The exercise includes a wide range of advanced training activities, such as precision air operations to enhance combat capabilities, joint force integration training, and the execution of combined tactical missions.

Participants will also attend specialized academic lectures and carry out tasks designed to raise the efficiency of air, technical, and support crews. In addition, the exercise incorporates training in electronic and cyber warfare within a multi-dimensional operational environment.

Participating countries include Bahrain, Bangladesh, France, Greece, Italy, Jordan, Malaysia, Morocco, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Turkey, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

The Air Warfare Center in the Eastern Sector is considered one of the region’s most advanced training facilities, offering a realistic operational environment supported by sophisticated simulation systems and high-level capabilities for evaluating combat plans, testing weapons systems, and measuring operational effectiveness.
