‘Social Affairs Minister’ emphasizes enhancing of services to children and families
The Minister of Social Affairs, Family and Childhood Affairs, Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailah, emphasized the exchange of experiences with Oman and the enhancement of services for children and families during a field tour with Omani Minister of Social Development, Dr. Laila bint Ahmed Al-Najjar. The tour included visits to the Child Education and Evaluation Center and the new event building in Sulaibiya area.
Minister Al-Huwailah emphasized that this visit reaffirms the commitment of both Kuwait and Oman to collaborate on achieving the goals of sustainable development in childhood, family, and social development.
The Omani Minister, Dr. Al-Najjar praised the advanced level of these establishments and emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation between Gulf countries to enhance social welfare services.
Noteworthy is that during the tour, Minister Al-Huwailah and the Omani Minister were briefed on the programs and services offered by the Child Education and Evaluation Center.
This center is known for diagnosing learning difficulties and providing specialized programs for slow learners and those with educational disorders, which helps enhance children’s abilities and supports their educational career.
The visit also included the new events building, which features a modern design and an integrated environment aimed at rehabilitating events and providing advanced social and psychological programs.
