Social Affairs grants land for civil society hubs in Jleeb, 14 plots still available

Ministry accepting applications for project plans through accredited engineering offices

The Ministry of Social Affairs said 61 plots of land have been allocated in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh to build permanent headquarters for civil society organizations that were formed before 2004.

The move, according to Al-Jarida, follows legal and technical approvals from the Municipal Council and Kuwait Municipality.

Each plot measures 1,200 square meters, including 8 plots designated for a civil society complex with training halls, meeting rooms, a theater, and administrative offices.

The Ministry has already distributed 24 plots to associations lacking permanent headquarters, 13 to unions in government ministries, and 2 to the International Islamic Charitable Organization, with 14 plots remaining.

Infrastructure work, including roads and ground services, has been completed by the Ministry of Public Works.

The Ministry is now accepting applications, requiring submission of project plans through accredited engineering offices.

This initiative reflects the government’s commitment to supporting public benefit associations and enabling them to fulfill their social roles effectively.
