Social Affairs dissolves one charity society, amends statutes of three others
Decisions reflect the Ministry’s ongoing oversight role in regulating the administrative and legal frameworks governing civil society organizations in Kuwait

The Ministry of Social Affairs has issued four decisions concerning civil society organizations, including the dissolution of a charity association and amended the bylaws of three others.
The decisions have been published in the latest issue of the official gazette Kuwait Alyawm published on Sunday.
Under Resolution No. 42 of 2026, the Ministry approved amendments to the basic statute of the National Society for Child Protection, specifically related to the procedures governing meetings of the General Assembly.
Resolution No. 43 of 2026 ordered the dissolution of the Al-Qurain Charity Society. The decision also prohibits the board members and employees from disposing of any of its funds, assets, or documents, reports Al-Rai daily.
Meanwhile, Resolution No. 46 of 2026 introduced amendments to the basic statute of the Kuwaiti Doctors Association, addressing governance matters, including the mechanisms for management and the procedures for calling both ordinary and extraordinary General Assembly meetings.
In addition, Resolution No. 53 of 2026 amended the basic statute of the Kuwaiti Association for the Blind, with changes related to its management structure and the nomination process for membership on its Board of Directors.
