The Egyptian-Kuwaiti Cooperation Council, chaired by Sheikha Khaled Al-Bahar, Deputy Head of the Kuwaiti side, hosted a working luncheon in honor of Lieutenant General Kamel El-Wazir, Egypt’s Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Transport and Industry.

The luncheon served as a platform to deepen economic cooperation and explore new avenues of investment between Egypt and Kuwait. Discussions focused on building upon the recent momentum in trade and economic relations between the two countries, particularly in light of the broad structural reforms and investment incentives being implemented by Egypt.

Lieutenant General El-Wazir presented an overview of the current investment opportunities available in Egypt across industrial, transport, and infrastructure sectors. He emphasized that the Egyptian government is fully committed to supporting Arab and foreign investors, with a special focus on facilitating investment flows from the Gulf region and Kuwait.

Kuwaiti members of the Council shared insights, raised questions, and highlighted challenges faced by investors, to which Minister El-Wazir responded with openness and assurance. He confirmed the government’s readiness to address any obstacles, streamline processes, and ensure a business-friendly environment that benefits both Egypt and its strategic partners.

Sheikha Al-Bahar commended the Egyptian government’s proactive stance and reaffirmed Kuwait’s strong interest in continuing to support Egypt’s development journey through enhanced investment partnerships and greater private sector engagement.

This high-level engagement reflects a shared commitment to economic integration, and the mutual recognition of the strategic potential of deepening Egypt-Kuwait ties across critical sectors.
