Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef inaugurates new facilities at Police Officers Club

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef on Tuesday inaugurated the newly developed facilities of the Police Officers Club, in the presence of Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior Major General Ali Al-Adwani, Assistant Undersecretary for Public Security Affairs Major General Hamed Al-Dawas, senior ministry officials, and members of the club’s Board of Directors.

In his remarks, Sheikh Fahd stressed that the project reflects the Ministry of Interior’s commitment to caring for its personnel and their families, by creating an integrated environment that supports their well-being.

He noted that the club serves as a cultural, social, and sporting hub, while also strengthening bonds among officers. The new facilities, he added, form part of a broader plan to enhance services for ministry staff, in line with the ministry’s strategy of prioritizing human resources and promoting social stability to improve performance in national duties, reports Al-Jarida daily,

Major General Al-Adwani praised the club’s comprehensive upgrades, describing them as a qualitative leap that meets the needs of officers and their families. He highlighted that the facilities—ranging from chalets and swimming pools to multipurpose halls and recreational services—demonstrate the ministry’s focus on providing a supportive and modern environment.

For his part, Brigadier General Abdul Mohsen Al-Akshan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Police Officers Club, welcomed attendees and outlined the board’s efforts since its reconstitution to launch development initiatives tailored for ministry personnel. He explained that the modernization of facilities and expansion of services are designed to meet members’ aspirations and keep pace with best practices in management and operations.

Al-Akshan also announced the launch of the club’s smart application, which integrates all services in one platform, including chalet, pool, hall, and Ministry of Interior camp reservations, as well as access to updates on events and activities. He emphasized that the club will remain a home for officers and their families, and a platform for fostering social, cultural, and sporting ties.

The ceremony concluded with the official unveiling of the app, which was described as a qualitative step forward in service delivery, reinforcing the ministry’s vision of providing a distinguished environment for its members and their families, and strengthening the club’s role as a leading social and cultural institution.
