Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef inspects KIA ahead of summer and Hajj travel seasons

In line with his commitment to monitoring field operations and ensuring the full readiness of security and service sectors, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef went on an inspection tour of Kuwait International Airport to assess preparations for the upcoming summer travel period and the Hajj season.

Accompanied by Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, Major General Ali Misfer Al-Adwani, and senior security officials, Sheikh Fahad toured various passenger terminals, closely examining operations in the arrival and departure passport control areas and the visa issuance hall, reports Al-Rai daily.

During the visit, he received detailed briefings on the visa application process through the official “Kuwait Visa” platform, as well as updates on the coordination mechanisms in place among the Ministry of Interior, the General Administration of Customs, and the Directorate General of Civil Aviation.

Sheikh Fahad emphasized the importance of deploying all available capabilities to efficiently serve travelers, streamline their procedures, and ensure a smooth travel experience.

He also stressed the need for heightened security readiness to respond swiftly to any emergencies or operational disruptions, thereby safeguarding the safety and comfort of both departing and arriving passengers.
