Several schools renamed; new to open in Jahra and Farwaniya

Minister of Education Eng. Jalal Al-Tabtabaei has issued a series of decisions to rename and open several new schools across Kuwait’s educational districts. These actions follow recommendations from the relevant committee overseeing school naming and development.

According to Al-Rai daily, the following schools have been renamed, reports Al-Rai daily.

Ahmadi District — Lubna Bint Al-Harith Secondary School for Girls in Al-Sabahiya, Block 3, has been renamed Zainab Bint Mazoun Secondary School for Girls.

Farwaniya District — Al-Ra’i Al-Nimri Secondary School for Boys in Al-Nahda, Block 2, is now named Abdul-Razzaq Muhammad Saleh Al-Adasani Secondary School for Boys.

Jahra District — Jamila Tana Al-Anzi Primary School for Girls in Al-Naseem, Block 4, is renamed Maimouna Bint Al-Harith Primary School for Girls.

Al-Kadi Kindergarten in Al-Mutlaa, Block 2, is now called Al-Barakah Kindergarten.

Al-Durra Kindergarten in Al-Mutlaa, Block 1 (N8-B1), has been named and will operate under that name moving forward.

The following are the new schools that will open doors.

Jahra District — Lamees Bint Amr Elementary School for Girls, located in Al-Mutlaa, Block 3 (N8-B2); Saleh Rashid Nasser Bursali Elementary School for Boys, located in Al-Mutlaa, Block 2 (N8-B2).

Farwaniya District — Suleiman Ahmed Bu Kahil Intermediate School for Boys, located in West Abdullah Al-Mubarak, Block 1, Street 101 and Khawla Bint Tha’laba Elementary School for Girls, located in Ishbiliya, Block 2, Street 216.

The decisions will take effect either immediately or at the start of the 2025/2026 academic year, depending on each individual case.

Relevant ministry departments have been instructed to oversee and implement the changes according to the approved schedule.
