Security concerns prompt UAE travel ban to Iran, Lebanon and Iraq

. . . urges citizens to return immediately

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced a travel ban prohibiting Emirati citizens from travelling to Iran, Lebanon, and Iraq, according to a statement reported by the Emirates News Agency.

In its advisory, the ministry urged all UAE nationals currently in these countries to leave immediately and return to the United Arab Emirates, citing security considerations and the need to ensure their safety.

The move reflects heightened caution amid evolving regional conditions, with authorities emphasizing the importance of adhering to official guidance and maintaining close contact with UAE diplomatic missions when abroad.

Officials reiterated that the safety and security of Emirati citizens remain a top priority, calling on travelers to comply fully with the directive and avoid travel to the specified destinations until further notice.
