Seattle jewelry store robbed of $2 million in 90-second smash-and-grab incident

Family-owned business shaken in broad daylight robbery as seattle police hunt suspects

Seattle police are investigating a high-value robbery after four masked men stormed a jewelry store in West Seattle, and escaped with an estimated $2 million worth of diamonds, gold, luxury watches, and other valuables in less than 90 seconds.

Surveillance footage captured the suspects smashing through the store’s locked glass entrance with hammers before targeting six display cases. One case alone contained Rolex watches valued at $750,000, according to police.

During the heist, one of the robbers threatened staff with bear spray and a stun gun, but fortunately, no injuries were reported.

Josh Menashe, vice president of the family-owned store, said employees were still shaken by the incident. “We’re in shock as employees. We’re going to be closed for a while,” he stated, adding that staff have already cleaned up shattered glass and are assessing the losses.

Police responded quickly after receiving the emergency call, but the suspects had already fled the scene in a waiting vehicle. A search of the surrounding area failed to locate them. The case remains under active investigation.
