School Health Department hosts second training course for nurses

The course covered first aid, administrative laws, infection prevention, child protection, combating obesity, and vaccinations.

  • The training course targeted over 50 percent of the nurses in school clinics and health centers across all health regions, with approximately 700 male and female nurses participating.

The School Health Department at the Ministry of Health conducted the second training course for nursing staff, targeting over 50 percent of the nurses in school clinics and health centers across all health regions. Approximately 700 male and female nurses participated. This training was jointly coordinated by the School Health, Public Health, Medical Emergencies, and Child Protection Office departments.

Dr. Wafaa Al-Kandari, Director of School Health, explained in a statement that the course covered several topics, including first aid, basics of administrative laws, infection prevention policies, child protection, the program to combat and prevent overweight and obesity, and vaccinations.

Al-Kandari emphasized the administration’s commitment to developing the capabilities of its nursing staff and providing the best health practices to achieve its goals of promoting public health among school students and supporting national efforts in prevention and health care. She also appreciated the efforts of all coordinators, participants, and lecturers.
