The Saud Al-Nasser Diplomatic Institute, in partnership with the Warba Bank, hosted members of the accredited diplomatic corps and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs staff in a cultural event celebrating Quraish Day, one of Kuwait’s most cherished heritage traditions.
The occasion blended the festive spirit of national holidays with local cultural heritage, showcasing the intersection of diplomacy and Kuwaiti identity.

Speaking at the event, Ambassador H.E. Nasser Al-Subaih, Assistant Foreign Minister for the Institute, highlighted the importance of embedding Kuwait’s cultural identity within diplomatic work.
He emphasized that national partnerships between government, private sector, and civil society enrich official events and reinforce the human and societal dimension of diplomacy.

The celebration featured contributions from persons with disabilities, who presented handicrafts reflecting Kuwait’s traditional arts, alongside Kuwaiti artisans and historians showcasing historical manuscripts, cultural artifacts, and craftwork.
This highlighted the nation’s rich heritage and the institute’s commitment to community inclusion and cultural preservation.
Ambassador Al-Subaih outlined the Institute’s major achievements in 2025 — signing 27 memoranda of understanding with regional and international institutes, organizations, private sector entities, and civil society groups; implementing 81 training programs, benefiting 1,383 local trainees; and conducting 46 international courses, attended by 224 participants across 24 countries.
The Institute also hosted seven international delegations last year, including representatives from OPEC, GCC member states, Spain, Mexico, Russia, Turkmenistan, Tunisia, Algeria, and Jordan.
These programs aim to develop diplomatic and administrative capacities, foster professional skills, and strengthen Kuwait’s role as a hub for soft power and knowledge exchange.
The Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan H.E. Dr. Zubidullo Zubidzoda, praised the annual initiative as a well-established tradition reflecting Kuwait’s institutional approach to diplomacy.
He emphasized that such events provide diplomats a platform to exchange views on regional and global issues, enhance coordination, and learn from Kuwait’s experience in mediation, humanitarian work, and development.
Ambassador Zubidzoda noted the Institute’s pivotal role in training young diplomats through specialized programs and workshops that sharpen professional skills, aligning with the fast-paced evolution of international relations.
He commended the organization and high standard of participation, expressing hope that these initiatives will continue to strengthen friendship and understanding between nations.
