Salaries of 2,500 transferred employees secured until placement

Dr. Issam Al-Rubaian, the head of the Civil Service Bureau, held a meeting with leaders of the Supreme Council for Provincial Affairs to develop procedures for implementing the Council of Ministers’ decision to transfer the council’s employees to the Civil Service Commission for distribution among all government agencies.

She disclosed that the decision encompasses 2,500 employees across different job grades. Implementing the transfer process necessitates an exception from the Civil Service Council due to the ongoing suspension of inter-agency transfers.

Additionally, it requires providing financial grades tailored to the transferred employees, spanning from the first to the fifth class. The transfer decision mandates preserving their job grades, titles, financial benefits, and statuses without aligning them with newly established financial grades typical for new graduates’ appointments.

She continued, “The matter will be presented to the Civil Service Council for the issuance of the appropriate decision to ensure that the transfer process does not affect supervisory positions and promotional grades through selection in the entities to which they will be transferred.”

The sources reassured all employees included in the transfer process that salaries are guaranteed for the 2,500 transferred employees until they are placed in equivalent financial and job grades within the new government agencies.
