Safety measures enforced for people with special needs amid political turmoil

To ensure the continuity of services for the residents of social care homes, companies contracted to provide the services, such as food and cleaning, laundry materials, and maintenance, were asked to provide a stock lasting no less than three to six months.
Al-Humaidi Mohammed Al-Mutairi, Acting Director General of the Public Authority for the Affairs of Persons with Disabilities, announced that the authority has implemented precautionary measures to ensure the safety of persons with disabilities amid current political events, according to Al Jarida newspaper.
An exceptional meeting was also held with several of the authority’s leaders, directors, supervisors, and technicians to review the measures taken by the departments in this regard.
Al-Mutairi explained that the Rehabilitation Medical Center is prepared for any emergency plan, with sufficient drug stock and all technical staff (doctors and nursing staff) fully prepared to implement any emergency plan.
He added that the purpose of these measures is to protect our disabled children from any potential risks they may face until the current regional situation and events stabilize.
