Sabah Al-Salem: Kuwait committed to children’s healthy disease-free future
The Governor of Mubarak Al-Kabeer, H.E. Sheikh Sabah Bader Al-Salem, stressed Kuwait’s commitment to the health of its children, aiming to create a generation free from diseases and healthy mentally, physically, and psychologically.
This goal is pursued by providing all necessary medicines, vaccinations, medical examinations, and continuous follow-up.
On the sidelines of his sponsorship and attendance at the World Children’s Day exhibition, organized by the Mubarak Al-Kabeer Western Health Center Administration, today, Thursday, Al-Salem told Al-Rai that the governorate is committed to supporting activities that raise awareness about children’s care and highlight the Ministry of Health’s efforts in this area.
The Governor Al-Salem praised the Mubarak Al-Kabeer Health District Administration and wished them success in serving Kuwait.
What’s more is that the Governor also expressed his appreciation for the efforts to combat diseases that are spreading globally and whose causes are constantly evolving, wishing safety and well-being for all.
On the other hand, the Director of Mubarak Al-Kabeer Health Zone, Dr. Walid Al-Busairi, confirmed that the event aims to raise awareness in the community about the importance of child safety in creating a healthy generation. He also highlighted the Ministry of Health’s efforts in providing health services to children from birth.
Dr. Al-Busairi noted the strong coordination with schools and the School Health Administration to monitor and support the health of children in schools.
Regarding parental role, Dr. Al-Busairi urged parents to ensure their children receive the necessary vaccinations to protect them from infectious diseases, particularly during the winter season. He emphasized the importance of vaccinations in preventing incurable diseases, such as polio, which can lead to disabilities.
Importantly, Head of Mubarak Al-Kabeer Western Health Center, Dr. Maryam Al-Qattan spoke about the event titled ‘Healthy Child through Breastfeeding’ held during World Children’s Day celebrations.
The departments of Mubarak Al-Kabeer Center participated by organizing an exhibition and workshop to answer the questions of visitors and mothers, aiming to educate them about the importance of breastfeeding for their children. The event also featured contributions from natural companies displaying some of their products for children.
