Rubio, Kuwait’s First Deputy Prime Minister discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio received Kuwait’s First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, at the State Department in Washington, D.C., on Monday.
The visit was part of Sheikh Fahad’s official trip to the United States. He was accompanied by Kuwait’s Ambassador to the U.S., Sheikha Al-Zain Al-Sabah, and an official delegation.
The meeting focused on deepening bilateral cooperation across various sectors, enhancing joint coordination mechanisms, and strengthening communication channels to advance shared interests and promote regional security and stability.
Sheikh Fahad highlighted the historic and strategic nature of U.S.-Kuwait relations, expressing appreciation for the U.S. State Department’s role in fostering cooperation and supporting peace efforts.
He reaffirmed Kuwait’s commitment to continued collaboration through the exchange of official visits and expertise, particularly in the security and diplomatic arenas. These efforts, he noted, are key to boosting the performance and capabilities of national institutions.
