The Jordanian army announced on Saturday that its air force has launched air sorties to protect the kingdom’s skies and safeguard national sovereignty, in response to escalating military operations by the United States and Israel against Iran.
According to an official statement, “The sounds heard in the skies of several regions of the Kingdom are due to aircraft belonging to the Royal Jordanian Air Force, which are carrying out routine air sorties.”
The army emphasized that its forces “continue to perform their national duty in protecting the Kingdom’s skies and preserving its sovereignty with full efficiency and competence.”
The announcement comes amid a wider regional escalation, including US-Israeli strikes on Iran, missile alerts in Israel, and military actions in Bahrain and Abu Dhabi. Jordan’s swift air response aims to ensure airspace security and national defense during this period of heightened tension.
