PIFSS launches second annual retirees’ exhibition highlighting national creativity

The Public Institution for Social Security has launched the second annual Kuwaiti Retirees Exhibition for Small Business Owners, coinciding with the country’s national holiday celebrations.
Held in the heart of Al-Mubarakiya Market, the exhibition features 100 booths dedicated to showcasing the diverse projects of retired entrepreneurs.
The exhibition, organized on Al-Sarraf Street, opened its doors on Sunday, February 8, 2026, and will continue until Thursday, February 12, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. daily. The initiative aims to highlight the creativity and skills of retirees, combining the essence of Kuwaiti heritage with modern entrepreneurial talent, reports Al-Rai daily.
Khaled Jassim Al-Mudhaf, Director General of the Social Security Institution, emphasized that the event aligns with the nation’s celebrations, reinforcing the national spirit and reflecting the Institution’s commitment to supporting retirees, a group recognized for their experience and competencies.
Al-Mudhaf extended congratulations to the State of Kuwait, its government, and its people on the national holidays, wishing continued security and prosperity under the leadership of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled.
This year’s exhibition marks a significant expansion, with booths dedicated to various entrepreneurial activities, including perfume manufacturing, clothing, handicrafts, and other creative projects. The platform allows retirees to directly engage with visitors, promoting their products and gaining practical exposure in one of Kuwait’s most historic and vibrant markets.
This exhibition not only celebrates the entrepreneurial spirit of retirees but also strengthens the connection between Kuwaiti heritage, national creativity, and economic participation.
