Restaurant in Al-Ahmadi fined for wasting fresh water
The judicial inspection team from the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy has issued a citation against a restaurant in the Al-Ahmadi Governorate for wasting fresh water by using a hose to wash the restaurant’s front yard, resulting in the unnecessary wastage of large quantities of water.
Inspectors determined that the cleaning work did not require such excessive use of water, describing the practice as clear waste.
The ministry stressed that water is a national treasure and the lifeblood of society, and urged individuals and businesses to use it responsibly and only according to actual need.
It also called on business owners and customers to adhere to rational water consumption practices and avoid waste, noting that inspection campaigns will continue and that legal action will be taken against violators.
