Resonance of reverence: Gandhi Jayanti eulogized at Indian Learners’ Own Academy

Indian Learners Own Academy, Kuwait, solemnly immortalized the spirit of Gandhi Jayanti on the 2nd of October with profound veneration and incandescent patriotism, paying homage to the Apostle of Peace, Mahatma Gandhi.

The august occasion was graced by the esteemed presence of Mr. Sanjai K. Muluka, Charge De Affairs, Embassy of India, Kuwait, as the Chief Guest, and Dr. Priya from education wing of the Indian Embassy.

Mr. Sanjay Muluka extolled the academy’s indefatigable efforts in inculcating Gandhian doctrines of Satya, Ahimsa, and Sewa among its young prodigies.

The ceremonial proceedings commenced with a melodious recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by an invocatory English prayer that infused sanctity into the atmosphere.

The Principal Mrs. Asha Sharma, in her erudite address, extended a cordial welcome to the guests and underscored the perennial significance of Mahatma Gandhi’s precepts in the modern epoch.

Students orated eloquently in English and Hindi, delivering soul-stirring renditions of Gandhiji’s philosophies. The mellifluous bhajan “Vaishnav Jan To Tene Kahiye” evoked an aura of devotion, while a magnificently curated tableaux series depicted landmark episodes — the Champaran Satyagraha, Train Incident, Doctrine of Non-Violence, Non-Cooperation Movement, Swadeshi Movement, and the historic Dandi March — each rendered with theatrical finesse and emotive profundity.

Muluka, applauded the students’ artistic brilliance and commended their earnest commitment to Gandhian ideals. He emphasized the indispensable relevance of these virtues in cultivating enlightened global citizens, urging the young learners to embody truth and compassion in their quotidian lives.

The commemoration culminated in the unveiling of Mahatma Gandhi’s bust, an emblem of eternal homage and moral resurgence. The vote of thanks brought the ceremony to a sublime close, leaving the audience imbued with inspiration and moral clarity.
