Relief as first batch of Filipino nurses to arrive soon

After a hiatus of one and half years, the Philippines embassy approved the recruitment of domestic workers again. The first batch of 32 Filipino female workers arrives shortly, part of a batch of 150 nurses that have been recruited.

This is welcome news, especially as the domestic sector is facing a severe shortage, especially after a section of domestics benefited from the period granted to move to the private sector.

“Two private hospitals in Kuwait will receive approximately 80 male and female nurses, and their Kuwait residence procedures will take about two months to complete,” as reported by Al Jarida, the Arabic daily.
