Reconnaissance Research, the leading independent think-tank based in Kuwait, recently hosted a high-level Indian delegation as part of its efforts to strengthen bilateral ties and promote strategic dialogue across the region.

The visiting delegation, led by Baijayant ‘Jai’ Panda, Vice President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Special Envoy of the Indian Prime Minister, was accompanied by senior parliamentarians, diplomats, and civil society representatives.

Discussions at the event focused on the evolving India–Kuwait relationship, soft power diplomacy, and India’s comprehensive counterterrorism strategy under its ‘New Normal’ approach. The delegation also addressed the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, reaffirming India’s firm stance of zero tolerance toward terrorism.

The gathering, a closed-discussion, featured a Diwaniya-style engagement, co-hosted by Reconnaissance Research, which brought together prominent Kuwaiti figures including former ministers, ambassadors, editors-in-chief, academics, and business leaders. Among the attendees were Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ali Al-Sabah, Dr. Hilal Al-Sayer, Ambassador Abdullah Bishara and Ahmed Al-Jarallah.

Welcoming the guests, Founder and CEO of Reconnaissance Research, Abdulaziz Al-Anjeri, highlighted the Centre’s India affairs Unit established last year and its role in advancing high-level policy discussions with Indian counterparts.

He emphasized the importance of sustained research-driven engagement in navigating regional and global challenges. The delegation delivered a comprehensive briefing on India’s national security posture, followed by an open Q&A session. The Diwaniya setting enabled a very candid and meaningful exchange of views between Indian and Kuwaiti participants.

Established in 2019, Reconnaissance Research is dedicated to providing a platform for in-depth policy analysis, fostering bridges of cross-cultural dialogue, and supporting decision-makers through objective research and strategic insight.
