‘Ramadan and Eid Clothing 2026’ Exhibition supports thousands of families
. . . initiative brings relief, dignity to over 15,000 beneficiaries

In a scene embodying the spirit of solidarity that defines Kuwaiti society, the Kuwaiti Association for Needy Families organized the “Ramadan and Eid Clothing 2026” exhibition on Friday at the Mishref Fairgrounds, with wide official and public participation.
The initiative aims to support underprivileged families in a dignified and organized manner, helping them meet their needs during the holy month of Ramadan.
Chairman of the Association’s Board, Bader Hamad Al-Mubarak, told Al-Rai on the sidelines of the event that the exhibition has become an annual initiative that continues to grow and evolve each year.
He explained that the exhibition initially began at the association’s headquarters before witnessing significant expansion over the past two years in terms of venue size, number of beneficiaries, and overall organization.
Al-Mubarak noted that the exhibition now serves more than 2,500 families — equivalent to approximately 13,000 to 15,000 beneficiaries.
The event is held under the supervision of the Ministry of Social Affairs, with participation from government entities, private sector companies, charitable organizations, and foundations, contributing to its continued growth and wider reach.
He emphasized that all beneficiary families are registered both with the association and the ministry following detailed social assessments to ensure assistance reaches those most in need.
Families are able to select Eid clothing and other items freely and privately, preserving their dignity while allowing them full choice.
After completing their visit, families receive a comprehensive Ramadan food basket containing essential supplies, helping ease financial pressures throughout the holy month.
Al-Mubarak praised the strong cooperation of government authorities, noting that necessary approvals were obtained from the Ministry of Social Affairs and the Ministry of Interior three months in advance.
He stressed that official support played a key role in the exhibition’s success and in ensuring its continuity as an annual humanitarian initiative.
He also expressed appreciation to sponsors and donors, affirming that the exhibition’s success reflects the generosity of Kuwaiti society, where Ramadan continues to highlight values of compassion, giving, and social solidarity.
