Rain expected Sunday as Kuwait nears start of Sarayat season

Kuwaiti meteorologist Issa Ramadan has forecast rainfall across the country next Sunday, noting that the showers experienced today were brief and had only a limited impact.
In remarks to Kuwait Television, Ramadan said that Kuwait is approaching the start of the “Sarayat” season, which is expected to begin in approximately six days, around the middle of April. He explained that the country is presently in a transitional climatic phase locally known as “Al-Sabq.”
Ramadan added that this year’s spring season is likely to be longer than usual, accompanied by a noticeable rise in daytime temperatures, reports Al-Rai daily.
He attributed this trend to the region’s geographical characteristics, which influence weather patterns across much of the northern Gulf.
The forecast points to increasingly variable conditions in the coming days, as Kuwait transitions into a period typically marked by sudden weather changes, including intermittent rainfall and rising temperatures.
