Quick-profit plan derails; duo caught selling fake dollars for Kuwaiti dinars

Personnel from the Anti-Counterfeiting and Forgery Crimes Department have taken into custody two Arab men for orchestrating fraudulent schemes by enticing individuals with offers of quick profit.
The men reportedly sought to sell counterfeit U.S. dollar banknotes at half their face value in exchange for Kuwaiti dinars, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to the Ministry of Interior, the suspects were caught in possession of US$100,000 counterfeit bills – all in US$100 denomination bills.
The fake notes were produced through photographic methods and packaged in tightly sealed plastic bundles, ready for sale to potential victims.
The two suspects, along with the seized counterfeit currency, have been referred to the competent authorities for the necessary legal action.
