The Qatari Ministry of Defense announced that its armed forces successfully thwarted several attacks targeting the country, attributing the outcome to a high level of readiness, heightened security vigilance, and effective coordination among relevant authorities.
In a statement carried by the Qatar News Agency, the ministry confirmed that the threat was addressed immediately upon detection and handled in accordance with pre-approved defense plans. All incoming missiles were intercepted and destroyed before entering Qatari airspace.
The ministry emphasized that the Qatari Armed Forces possess the full capability and preparedness required to safeguard national security and decisively confront any external threat.
The announcement came amid escalating regional tensions, with reports of explosions being heard in Riyadh and claims that four U.S. military bases in the region had been targeted by missiles launched by Iran’s Revolutionary Guard.
