Qatar National Day celebrated with diplomats, ministers, and global guests

Several ambassadors congratulated the government and people of Qatar on the anniversary of its National Day, expressing their joy at attending the celebration hosted by the Qatari Embassy in Kuwait.

In a spirit of Gulf brotherhood and solidarity, the Qatar National Day was attended by prominent officials including First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, Minister of Interior and Foreign Minister Abdullah Al-Yahya at the Qatari Embassy in Kuwait.

In a spirit of Gulf brotherhood and solidarity, the Qatari Embassy celebrated Qatar National Day, attended by prominent officials including First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, Minister of Interior and Foreign Minister Abdullah Al-Yahya, members of the Arab and foreign diplomatic corps, and a large gathering of Kuwaiti and international guests, according to Al Rai newspaper.

Several ambassadors congratulated the government and people of Qatar on the anniversary of its National Day, expressing their joy at attending the celebration hosted by the Qatari Embassy in Kuwait.

In this context, the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Kuwait, H. E. Prince Sultan bin Saad, remarked that “It is truly beautiful that all these joyous celebrations and occasions, whether political or sporting, coincide in one month and one place—our beloved Kuwait—which reflects its esteemed status among the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.”

He noted that Gulf nations “celebrated the National Day of the United Arab Emirates last week, today we celebrate the National Day of Qatar, next week we will celebrate the National Day of Bahrain, and by the end of the week, we will celebrate the opening of the Gulf Cup. This makes December a month full of events, and celebrating them in Kuwait adds to their splendor.”

On the sidelines of the Qatari Embassy’s celebration, Prince Sultan added that “We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Qatar—its government and people—led by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin HamadAl-Thani. We also convey our congratulations to the members of the Qatari Embassy in Kuwait, headed by Ambassador Ali Bin Abdulla Al-Mahmoud. We wish Qatar continued success and prosperity, and for all GCC countries, greater stability, progress, and growth. May God Almighty grant us security and safety and preserve His blessings and bounty upon us.”

Qatar’s National Day is a celebration for all Gulf capitals

His Excellency Dr. Matar Hamed Al-Neyadi, the UAE Ambassador to Kuwait, expressed his congratulations to the brotherly State of Qatar, saying that “We congratulate ourselves and our brothers in Qatar on the occasion of their National Day and wish them continued progress and prosperity under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad.”

Dr. Al-Neyadi added that Qatar’s National Day “is a celebration for all Gulf capitals, with shared joy and achievements. We wish them all success on this glorious day,” while extending “special congratulations to the Qatari Ambassador for the wonderful organization of this celebration.”

Qatars continued development, progress, and growth within the GCC framework

Similarly, H.E. Dr. Saleh Amer Al-Kharusi, the Omani Ambassador to Kuwait, extended “the highest congratulations to the State of Qatar—its leadership, government, and people—on the anniversary of its Founding Day under the leadership of Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed Al-Thani.” He prayed for Qatar’s continued development, progress, and growth within the Gulf Cooperation Council framework.

Ambassador Al-Kharusi also congratulated the Qatari Ambassador to Kuwait, Ali Al-Mahmoud, on the occasion, stating, “May Qatar, our countries, and our Gulf system enjoy permanent progress and development year after year.”

Continued success, prosperity, and further development

H.E. Salah Ali Hasan Hilal Al-Malki, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Kuwait, also extended his congratulations to Qatar’s leadership, government, and people on the National Day.

“We wish His Highness the Amir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamimbin Hamad, and the Qatari people continued success, prosperity, and further development,” he said, noting that Qatar’s National Day “is a celebration for all Gulf countries.”

He added, “The Gulf celebrations began with Saudi Arabia’s National Day last September, and we pray for the continued joy of Gulf countries and their peoples.”

H. E. Al-Manhal Al-Safi, Iraq’s Ambassador to Kuwait, also congratulated Qatari Ambassador Ali Al-Mahmoud and the embassy staff on this occasion. He wished the government and people of Qatar continued progress and prosperity, emphasizing that Qatari-Iraqi relations are “excellent, with ongoing coordination between the two governments on issues of common interest.”

“Egyptian-Qatari relations are historical and deeply rooted”

H.E. Osama Shaltout, the Egyptian Ambassador to Kuwait, expressed his happiness at attending the celebration hosted by the Qatari Embassy. He emphasized that “Egyptian-Qatari relations are historical and deeply rooted,” wishing Qatar’s leadership, government, and people “continued prosperity and progress under the wise leadership of His Highness the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad.”

China and Qatar share excellent, strategic relations

H. E. Zhang Jianwei, China’s Ambassador to Kuwait, also congratulated Qatar, wishing it further progress and prosperity. “China and Qatar share excellent, strategic relations, much like China’s relations with all GCC countries,” he noted. Zhang added, “Qatar is a key partner for China, especially as part of the Belt and Road Initiative. The trade volume between our countries is significant, and we are working together to strengthen cooperation between China and all Gulf nations.”

The Amir treats Saudis like his own family, says Saudi Ambassador

The Saudi Ambassador highlighted the strength of Saudi-Kuwaiti relations, describing a recent visit by Prince Turki bin Mohammed to Kuwait as “a visit from a brother to his brothers.”

He said, “We consider His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah a father figure for us. His Highness always treats Saudis as if we are his own children. The visit was private and familial—part of the longstanding ties between our countries, ruling families, and peoples, and not influenced by any political agenda.”

Prince Sultan added, “It is my honor to represent my country in Kuwait and equally an honor to work in what I consider my second home. These dual honors are rare, and I feel truly privileged.”

We wish stability, security, and safety for the Syrian people, says UAE Ambassador

The UAE Ambassador stated that “what is happening in Syria is an internal matter, and we wish stability, security, and safety for the Syrian people.”

He also emphasized the GCC’s focus on economic collaboration during its recent summit in Kuwait. “The final statement highlighted economic development, regional unity, and leveraging the vast potential of GCC countries,” he said. “While many achievements have been realized, our leaders aspire to build on these successes and achieve even greater milestones. We take immense pride in our Gulf system and its continued successes.”

Demarcation meetings to begin soon, says Ambassador of Iraq

The Iraqi Ambassador, responding to a question about progress on the maritime border demarcation file between Iraq and Kuwait beyond point 162, stated that “meetings on this matter will begin very soon,” without specifying where they would be held.

Regarding Iraqi fans’ participation in the “Gulf 26” championship hosted by Kuwait, he said: “A platform was launched by our brothers in Kuwait. The number of fans and tickets has not been specified yet. This is not a friendly match, nor is it governed by FIFA or the Asian Federation regulations, but rather by the supply and demand for tickets.”

Establishment of a labor platform in Egypt

The Egyptian Ambassador revealed that a high-level Egyptian delegation will soon arrive in Kuwait to finalize plans for the construction of the new Egyptian consulate. Afterward, a consulting office and contracting company will be selected to implement the project, with construction expected to take twenty months.

On the topic of Egyptian labor arrangements in Kuwait, the ambassador noted that “the Joint Supreme Committee held in Cairo last September, which included the Manpower Committee of both countries, discussed various topics. Chief among them was the establishment of a labor platform in Egypt to facilitate recruitment for those seeking to bring Egyptian workers.”

He emphasized that “the platform is government-controlled, ensuring that all registered workers are vetted, their certificates verified, and quality certifications issued according to their professions.”

Abassador Shaltout also mentioned an upcoming visit by a Kuwaiti technical delegation to assess the platform, which has already proven successful with other countries. He expressed hope for a close link between Egypt’s labor platform and Kuwait’s recruitment system.

Consultations on Mubarak Port ongoing, says Chinese Ambassador

The Chinese Ambassador stated that consultations and coordination with the Kuwaiti side are progressing steadily to advance development and cooperation on the Mubarak Al-Kabeer Port project and other development initiatives. He emphasized, “We have made significant progress and remain optimistic about the future of our collaboration.”

He added, “We are working together on development, especially as the world needs stability and growth.” The ambassador highlighted the strategic relationship between Kuwait and China, underscoring the importance of cooperation across all fields.
