Public Works Ministry continues extensive road maintenance in Al-Aqila

As part of ongoing efforts to enhance road infrastructure, Minister of Public Works Dr. Noura Al-Mishaan announced the continuation of radical maintenance work in the Aqila area under new contracts. She reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to executing comprehensive road maintenance projects across all regions while adhering to the highest quality standards and international specifications.

Al-Mishaan stated in a press release that road maintenance plays a vital role in driving economic and social development while improving quality of life, aligning with the strategic vision for a new Kuwait 2035. She emphasized that infrastructure serves as the backbone of any nation, forming part of a comprehensive and integrated development plan that considers both economic and urban growth.

Importantly, Al-Mishaan added that infrastructure is more than just physical structures; it serves as the foundation of progress and prosperity. Investing in it not only drives economic growth but also enhances quality of life and supports sustainable development.

Al-Mishaan explained that road maintenance goes beyond superficial repairs; it is an investment in safety, efficiency, and sustainability. Such efforts enhance quality of life, support economic growth, and safeguard infrastructure investments, making them essential for any nation striving for progress and prosperity.

The Ahmadi Governorate Maintenance Supervisor for First Zone, Contract 15, Engineer Abdullah Al-Kandari, stated that ministry teams are actively present in Block 4 to oversee the progress of new contracts for radical road maintenance. He noted that the work includes laying an asphalt layer with a thickness of five centimeters.

Furthermore, Engineer Saleh Mohammed Al-Habbaj from the Maintenance Engineering Sector urged citizens and residents to stay informed about upcoming road closures by following updates from the General Traffic Department, helping to reduce traffic congestion.
