“Public Works Minister” urges speeding of road maintenance work in Al-Ardiya

In continuation of road maintenance work in the Farwaniya Governorate, the Ministry of Public Works announced today the commencement of extensive road maintenance in the Al-Ardiya area. The concerned teams conducted a thorough inspection of the area before initiating the necessary maintenance and repair work.

The Minister of Public Works, Noura Al-Mishaan, stated that road maintenance work will begin in the most affected areas, followed by less impacted regions. She emphasized the importance of supervision, oversight, and continuous follow-up of the maintenance efforts. The Minister also explained that teams from the Ministry of Public Works will closely monitor the implementation of the maintenance work to ensure its proper execution.

Al-Mishaan stated in a press statement today that her directives for the swift completion of the maintenance work were issued in response to the recommendations of His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmed Al-Abdullah. This initiative is part of the government’s ongoing commitment to preserving and repairing the country’s infrastructure.

Moreover, Al-Mishaan stressed the importance of coordination to address any outstanding issues related to road maintenance work. She urged the implementing companies to complete all tasks promptly, ensuring they meet the required quality and efficiency standards in line with the approved technical specifications, and adhere to the agreed timetable for the maintenance work.

Al-Mishaan stressed that road maintenance and repair is a top priority for the country’s political leadership. She praised the directives of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmad and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled, highlighting their support for road maintenance projects. This support aligns with the goal of building a robust infrastructure, a key pillar in the “New Kuwait 2035” development plan.

For his part, Engineer Salman Al-Qallaf, the supervisor of the Farwaniya Governorate project in the first zone, explained that the maintenance work involves photographing and cleaning the sewage network. These steps are essential before proceeding with the surveying and asphalting work.

Al-Qallaf urged the residents of the area to be patient and cooperate with the concerned authorities, particularly as some roads will be closed during the upcoming period to facilitate the maintenance work.
