Public Works Minister inspects road maintenance progress in Subhan

Minister of Public Works, Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan, said the engineering teams were present at the Subhan Street 101 work site today to follow up on the latest developments in the new road maintenance contracts.

Dr. Al-Mashaan emphasized that the ministry is closely monitoring the progress of major infrastructure projects to ensure high-quality implementation and timely delivery in line with Kuwait’s infrastructure development goals.

Engineer Noura Al-Mutairi, Supervisor of Contract 18 in Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate, explained that current works include laying a Type 3 asphalt layer. This step is part of an integrated maintenance plan designed to enhance road efficiency and improve public safety for motorists.

She stressed that these works fall under broader efforts to modernize Kuwait’s road network and address pressing maintenance needs in several key areas.

The ministry reaffirmed its commitment to supporting development projects across governorates and ensuring that maintenance contracts are executed according to the highest engineering standards. The focus remains on improving road quality, reducing traffic hazards, and extending the lifespan of road infrastructure
