Public Security Sector deals with multiple traffic violations
Within the framework of the ongoing security efforts made by the Public Security Sector to tighten security control and combat violations and lawlessness, the security directors in the various governorates of the country were able to achieve good progress within one month.
As per the statistics, 9,588 reports were dealt with, 1,997 checkpoints were set up, 46,591 traffic violations were issued, 2,038 people were arrested, including 669 violators of the residency law, 310 illegal vehicles were booked, 925 cases of absence without proof, 219 vehicles were seized, 3,929 humanitarian aids were provided, 4,380 traffic accidents were dealt with, and 277 people were arrested in possession of narcotics, psychotropic substances and alcohol.
The Ministry of Interior affirmed its commitment to continue actioning these security campaigns in all areas of the country with the aim of enhancing security and safety for the residents of the country.
