Possible power outages in some non-residential areas

The Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy said on Monday that it is likely to cut off electricity to parts of some non-residential areas. The ministry added in a statement that the power outage was due to emergency repairs to some power generation units.

Various areas of the country have been subjected to power outages in the recent past, due to increased consumption, especially with the significant rise in temperatures. The ministry called for rationalizing consumption during peak hours from 11 am to 5 pm, as reported by Al Qabas.
