Pizzi confident as Kuwait to take on Palestine in World Cup qualifier

Kuwait national football team coach, Spaniard Juan Antonio Pizzi, affirmed the team’s readiness to take on Palestine in the upcoming Asian qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Pizzi expressed confidence in his players and their ability to secure Kuwait’s first victory in the qualifiers. He praised their dedication and efforts during the preparation phase, reports Al-Rai daily.
Pizzi noted that he closely monitored domestic league matches, evaluated player performances, and selected the squad accordingly. He highlighted the inclusion of promising young talents aimed at building a strong foundation for the future.
He emphasized that his tactical approach focuses on ball possession, high pressing, and an attacking mindset — a style he believes will bring long-term success.
Meanwhile, national team player Mishari Ghannam assured that the squad is fully focused and determined to earn three points. He added that the players remain hopeful about progressing to the Asian play-offs and are giving their best to turn the campaign around.
