‘Penetrating Eye’ tests security readiness in high-precision drill on Failaka Island

The Crime Scene Department and the Forensic Medicine Department, affiliated with the General Department of Criminal Evidence, carried out a field security exercise titled “The Penetrating Eye” on Failaka Island, in cooperation with the Security Affairs Directorates Sector, the General Department of the Coast Guard, and the General Department of the Police Air Wing.

The exercise was conducted under the theme of precision in evidence detection within difficult and remote environments. It aimed to assess operational readiness, strengthen coordination, and enhance integration among the security bodies responsible for responding to criminal reports in isolated locations.

The drill was based on a simulated report of a murder inside a house on Failaka Island. Upon receipt of the report, the relevant security teams immediately activated approved response procedures, beginning with securing the scene and establishing a safety perimeter, followed by the deployment of specialized technical teams to the site.

Experts from the General Department of Criminal Evidence carried out a meticulous forensic examination of the location, collecting, documenting, and preserving physical and biological evidence in strict accordance with applicable regulations and established forensic protocols, and in line with the highest scientific and professional standards.

The “Penetrating Eye” exercise is designed to develop the technical and operational skills of security personnel, increase response efficiency, and enhance their ability to manage complex crime scenes in open and challenging geographical settings, thereby accelerating case resolution and supporting the delivery of justice.

The Ministry of Interior confirmed that such field exercises are part of its continuous training programs aimed at strengthening security preparedness and promoting institutional coordination among its various sectors, to achieve the highest levels of public safety and security.
