Peaceful National Day celebrations, thanks to elaborate security presence

For the first time, the National Day celebrations did not witness the violations that distorted the image of marches and celebrations during previous years through the use of water pistols or “balloons,” as security men were keen to be present in all areas, especially along the Arabian Gulf Street, in order to preserve the security and safety of the nation and citizens and residents.

The Ministry of Interior’s keenness comes in light of its emphasis on sharing citizens’ joy on the occasion and securing celebrations of national holidays, dedication to performing duty, dealing firmly with any violation of the law, dealing immediately with violators of the Environmental Protection Law, and reducing any negative behavior, reports Al-Qabas’ daily.

The Al-Qabas’ correspondent monitored an intense presence of police patrols at all entrances and intersections. In addition, a number of citizens who were present to celebrate National Day and Liberation Day expressed their satisfaction with the celebrations this year, while describing the behavior of the security personnel as “classy.”
