Peace Festival reflects the loyalty and patriotism of the Kuwaiti people: Al-Jouaan
Festival celebrates Kuwait’s independence, liberation, and patriotism and serves as a driving force for citizens to continue on the path of sustainable development

The Women’s Institute for Development and Peace, led by lawyer Kawthar Al-Jouaan, launched the ninth annual Peace Festival on Thursday in Al-Jahra Governorate, under the patronage of Governor Hamad Al-Habashi.
The festival will continue until Sunday, the Feb 15, in the Mishref area, and is held under the patronage of Sheikh Sabah Al-Badr, Governor of Mubarak Al-Kabeer and Acting Governor of Hawalli.
Al-Jouaan emphasized that the Peace Festival reflects the loyalty and patriotism of the Kuwaiti people, inspiring all segments of society, young and old alike, reports Al-Jarida daily.
She highlighted that the festival commemorates the nation’s achievements in preserving freedom, honoring sacrifices made for the homeland, and instilling the values of loyalty and belonging.
The celebrations of Kuwait’s 65th Independence Anniversary and 35th Liberation Anniversary serve as a driving force for citizens to continue on the path of sustainable development, while reinforcing the pride associated with Kuwait’s name, modern institutions, and sovereignty.
Al-Jouaan further noted the role of volunteers and participating organizations in showcasing the spirit of national duty, reflecting how patriotic individuals uphold their rights and fulfill responsibilities for the good of the country.
