Passport distribution begins for women previously stripped of Kuwaiti citizenship

. . . from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm every day, except Thursdays and Fridays

The Ministry of Interior has announced extended working hours at the General Department of Nationality and Travel Documents, introducing both morning and evening shifts — excluding Thursdays and Fridays.

This update, according to Al-Rai daily, is in line with a previous statement from the ministry regarding the commencement of passport distribution for women whose Kuwaiti citizenships were previously revoked but are now being treated as “Kuwaitis.”

According to the department, the new daily working hours will be from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm. Passport distribution will be conducted by scheduled appointments sent to the concerned individuals, to streamline the process and deliver top-quality service in line with official directives.

The department also emphasized the importance of booking an appointment in advance through the “Meta” platform via the “Sahel” app.

Users should select the following path when booking: Appointments > Ministry of Interior > General Department of Nationality and Travel Documents > Passport Collection (Article 8)
Those concerned must bring their passport receipt when arriving for collection.
