Passenger arriving from China caught with counterfeit goods, cash at T4

Customs officers at the Kuwait International Airport’s Terminal 4 (T4) seized counterfeit goods and undeclared cash from a passenger arriving from China after becoming suspicious of his luggage during customs inspection procedures.

According to the General Administration of Customs, the passenger was found carrying three bags containing counterfeit products, including clothing, watches, shoes, and accessories, along with sums of undeclared foreign currency.

Authorities said legal measures were immediately initiated, and referred the counterfeit items to the competent departments within the customs administration to complete the necessary procedures in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, reports Al-Jarida daily.

The General Administration of Customs reaffirmed its commitment to tightening customs controls across all entry points to combat smuggling and counterfeit trade, protect trademark rights, and safeguard the national economy and society.
